Deirdre M Hamilton PA-C joined Monterey County Surgical Associates in January 2010. She has been a Physician Assistant since 1990. She is a graduate of USC Primary Care Physician Assistant Program and has maintained Board certification with the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants. Following PA training, she practiced Family medicine in Long Beach California until 2002. In 2003 she practiced emergency medicine in the New York area. Her clinical experience in bariatric surgery began in 2005 with a large volume practice in Syosset New York until she joined MCSA. The MCSA Bariatric Coordinator is a part of the Center of Excellence designation from the Surgical Review Corps and the American Society of metabolic and Bariatric society. As bariatric coordinator, Deirdre assists patients as they navigate the pre and post operative course regarding weight loss surgery. As a Physician Assistant, Deirdre sees patients with Dr Vierra and independently in the office while he is in the operating room. Her skills include adjustment of the LAPBAND and REALIZE band. |
